I'm going to go ahead and wrap up this project with Y for young people (my son and niece) and Z for the Z-K Wedding. My cousin got married over Labor Day weekend. It was our first long weekend away from home with both kids and it was fun to spend it with my extended family. My son was the ring bearer and my niece was the flower girl. We are so happy that they both walked down the aisle with minimal bribery. Gum. That will do it every time. This weekend wasn't all about them though. It was about family and the beautiful bride and groom and the unofficial end of summer. Thanks for reading everyone. It was fun to document these little moments that can be so fleeting over the past year.

Plenty of superheroes calls for a plethora of super powers. We recently experienced just that at our little man's third birthday party. We had so much fun having his party at a local bounce house venue. But first a miniature photo shoot with Superman himself!
Extremely warm weather calls for an extra cold treat. We did a few quick pictures of my son at his first trip to Ice Deli last year. So, we had to do the same for my daughter this year. They both love it so much! Some throwbacks to my son's first Ice Deli. We wised up and got Miss E a clear concoction. Amateur parenting mistakes abound.
Technically, it was more like a stay-cation, but who's counting? A few weekends ago we kept the kids busy all weekend and decided to forgo naps both days. This could have been a disaster, but it turned out relatively OK... mostly. We swam our hearts out with our best friends and were all in bed before the sun went down. And lots of great memories were made.
Happy 18 month birthday to my own little girl. I can't believe we are already celebrating this milestone with her. Ready... Set.... Cheater!
A few times a year we make our own outdoor theater for our kids and their friends. I hope this is one of the things they remember growing up. Making memories... that sounds like a great start to a new photography project as this one comes to a close.
Normally my son is extremely shy especially when I have my camera out. Eventually he came around and we got some great shots that show off his personality. I really love the stage he is in right now. He is exploring new things and becoming more independent, but will still snuggle at night. The perfect combination.
These warm days are going by far too quickly already. I still have my mittens nearby just in case. You never know in these parts. This weekend we played outside every second we could. I can already see tan lines on both of my kids. She's still warming up to the sprinkler. Swimwear instead of snow gear? Yes, please!
P is for St. Patrick's Day! I actually took pictures of my own kids this weekend. Enjoy all the green.
